There was little to cheer about for the four English juniors that travelled to Sweden for the Junior & Cadet Open as only Igor Morais was able to progress to the first round.

The remaining trio, Liam McTiernan, Adam Harrison and Joseph Langham-Ferrieira were all knocked-out in their respective qualifying groups.

Morais, meanwhile, after reaching the first round was then knocked-out by the host nation’s Kim Nilsson 4-1.

There was some positive news for McTiernan, however, as he did manage to reach the quarter-finals of the consolation event. He beat Abdelrahman Rahmou (EGY), Oh Juhyeong (KOR) and Conor Edwards (WAL) en route.
