More than 100 delegates have signed up to attend Table Tennis England’s online 2021 National Conference and Pride of Table Tennis Awards ceremony on Saturday.

The event will be attended by club officials, coaches, volunteers and others in the sport who, despite the conference being virtual because of the current coronavirus restrictions, will have the chance to network and share ideas and best practice.

The conference and Pride of Table Tennis Awards are supported by Principal Partner Rocca Creative, and Official Sponsors R J Brand Design, TPF Sport and LinQsport.

The two themes of the conference, which runs from 10am to 5pm, are Diversity & Inclusion and Planning for the Future, and there will be a number of webinars and workshops around those topics.

The agenda and a conference overview are available to download below or clicking here to visit the conference page on our website.

Morning sessions include ‘Levelling the table – The new Diversity and Inclusion strategy for table tennis’, as well as ‘Table Tennis, Clubs and driving social outcomes’.

Afternoon sessions will focus on planning for the future, and will include workshops on developing your brand, volunteering, and supporting participation of juniors and adults.

These sessions will be recorded and made available on the Table Tennis England website next week.

As well as the conference element, the event will also honour the immense contributions of table tennis volunteers through the National Pride of Table Tennis Awards.

Delegates will watch the ceremony live, but it will also be streamed simultaneously on our Facebook page, allowing those who are not attending the conference to also watch and find out who has won in 12 categories, including the blue riband Volunteer of the Year and Young Volunteer of the Year awards.

The ceremony will start at 1.10pm on Saturday.

Table Tennis England Clubs, Schools and Leagues Manager, Claire Brockwell, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many have signed up to what promises to be a great event.

“We are all looking forward to hearing from and sharing with club and league representatives, as well as coaches, from across the country.

“It’s been a really challenging year, and this is an opportunity to reflect, and also to look forward ahead of the summer and the next season.”
