Haworth Hawks Table Tennis Club players have become Schools Individual Champions for their counties.

Emily Mellor, 13, for Bradford Grammar School retained the West Yorkshire Girls U13 title, and Hallie Fitton, 10, of Glusburn School won the North Yorkshire Girls U11 title.

Both girls have started to compete regularly, playing in the National Cadet League, and next week they will be entering the Yorkshire Regional Championships.

Haworth Hawks would also like to thank Keighley League player, Jack Webber, 86, who has donated a sum of money towards junior development.

There are more than 50 juniors now registered with the club, ranging in age from 7 to 16, and Jack has been impressed with the incredible improvement of the juniors playing in the league over the last three years.

Some of the juniors will be competing against Jack himself at the Keighley Closed Championships at the end of the month.
