England’s European Youth Championships is over, with Tin-Tin Ho and two boys’ doubles pairings losing in the last 16.

Tin-Tin was up against European No 10 Daria Chernova of Russia and never recovered from losing the first two sets as she lost 4-2.

In the Cadet Boys’ Doubles, Alex Ramsden & Harry Dai took a set off top seeds and world ranked No 1 and No 8 Cristian Pletea & Rares Sipos of Romania befire succumbing 3-1.

And in the Junior Boys’ Doubles, Helshan Weerasinghe & Tom Jarvis were beaten in three close sets by French pair Nolan Givone & Joe Seyfried.

Reaching the last 16 meets the target set down in the selection policy for the event, matching the feat of all three teams from earlier in the competition.
