A memorial service will be held in September for International Umpire Fred Groom.

Fred, the only surviving member of the first English umpiring team invited to officiate at an international tournament, died earlier this month aged 89.

A private family cremation will take place in August, before a memorial service at 11.30am on Saturday September 14 at St Leonard’s Church in Pitcombe, Somerset.
