The Junior Boys’ Singles was won by Lucas Papantoniou, who withstood a fine comeback by his opponent Dexter Sherin to win 3-2 (14-12, 11-7, 9-11, 6-11, 11-7). It was the second time Papantoniou hjad to dig deep, having come from 2-1 down in the semi-finals to beat Jack Merton 3-2 (11-5, 6-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-4). Sherin’s last-four clash saw him beat Quentin Kwan 3-0 (14-12, 11-5, 11-6).

Sherin had the consolation of winning the Cadet Boys’ Singles as he saw off Chamika Weerasinghe 3-0 in the final (11-2, 11-5, 11-8). His opponent had come from 2-1 down to defeat semi-final opponent Vitor Maquiori 3-2 (5-11, 11-9, 1-11, 11-9, 11-9), while Sherin beat Nathaniel Emmanuel in four.
