Jarvis progresses at Swedish Open, Baggaley is knocked out

Tom Jarvis has progressed at the ITTF World Tour Swedish Open, joining Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall and Sam Walker on day two.

Jarvis made it to Preliminary Round 2 of the Men’s Singles after beating Spain’s Joan Masip 4-2 (7-11, 11-8, 11-5, 7-11, 11-5, 11-3). Jarvis also competed in the Under-21 Men’s Singles, and after a 3-0 win against Jeet Chandra (IND), he was then knocked out by Minha Hwang (KOR) 3-0.

Andrew Baggaley was also knocked out of the Men’s Singles after losing 4-3 to Portugal’s Diogo Chen.

Today Liam Pitchford, Paul Drinkhall and Sam Walker join the action in both the Men’s Singles and Doubles.
