Commonwealth Games player Josh Band will be at Liverpool

The closing date for entries to the opening Grand Prix of the season has been extended to accommodate more entries.

The Liverpool GP, to be held on the 16/17th August 2014, will now allow entries up until Monday 4th August to help those who are struggling to arrange plans for the new season. Table Tennis England agreed with the referee to extend the date due to the late publication of the draw and the proximity of the event to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games where we know a number of our athletes are competing, including Jersey’s Josh Band (above) who has already confirmed his entry to Liverpool.

Some other names have also already confirmed their attendance including 2012/13 Overall Men’s Singles Champion Chris Doran, former England international Garth Kinlocke, Paralympian David Wetherill and Grand Prix regulars Abbie Milwain, Nicole Hall, Isobel Ashley and Emily Bolton.
