PG Mutual Nationals draw update

The draws for the Men’s and Women’s Singles at the PG Mutual National Championships have been made – and there is a change to the Under-21 Women’s Singles format.

Referee Brian Jackson carried out the draw live on Twitter to place players into the groups and knockout stages.

Meanwhile, the format for the Under-21 Women’s Singles has been changed, following a meeting of the tournament jury, to ensure the top two seeds are no longer given byes to the semi-finals.

The four groups will remain unchanged, however the winners and runners-up will now progress from the group stage, with the group winners seeded into the quarter-finals alongside the top two seeds and the group runners-up playing in the first round to determine who also progresses to the quarter-finals.
