The draw for the South Shields Grand Prix has been published.

The event on December 12 and 13 has attracted a particularly strong women’s line-up, headed by England No 1 Kelly Sibley. Karina Le fevre and Emily Bolton will also be there, as will leading Welsh duo Angharad and Megan Phillips.

In the men’s competition, Scotland’s Craig Howieson – last year’s champion – is the No 1 seed.

As ever, Saturday sees Banded play, with the open competitions on the Sunday.

Please could we also remind all players who have been successful that they are expected to umpire after they have been knocked out of each event they enter. This ensures the Grand Prix runs as smoothly and as close to time as possible.
