Spanish woe for McBeath and Gray

There wasn’t much to cheer about in Spain for the English duo of David McBeath and Lewis Gray as both fell at the group stages for their respective Mens’ Singles and Under-21 campaigns.

Gray was unable a register single victory, falling twice to Brian Afanador (PUR) in the process, while McBeath did manage three wins, only to lose the crucial matches in both of his groups, 3-1 to Joao Geraldo (POR) and 4-2 to Benjamin Brossier (FRA).
