The quarter-finals sees the big names starting to drop out, with Liam Pitchford going out at the hands of reigning champion Paul Drinkhall, Chris Doran fell foul to Gavin Evans return to form and Darius Knight who has had his name on the trophy so many times before also leaves the court.

Playing in matching kit, Will Maybanks and Matt Ware had a close fight, but ti was the vocal Ware, whose bat failed inspection prior to play earlier in the day came out on top.
