Excitement is building ahead of the third National #TableTennisDay on Thursday July 14th and there is still a chance for YOU to get involved – and by doing so, you could even win a luxury cruise for two!

More than 165 organisations have already downloaded our toolkit to help them plan their events, with every organiser being entered into a draw to win the amazing prize courtesy of our partners at Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

Anyone downloading the toolkit and commiting to hold their own event on the 14th will also be entered into the competition to win a week-long cruise for two from Southampton to glamorous destinations in Spain and France.

#TableTennisDay is the annual celebration of our sport and a chance to reach out to new players. Organisations already gearing up for the day include clubs, workplaces, schools, youth clubs, leisure centres and even churches.

Countless thousands of people are set to be involved in taster sessions, open days, fun tournaments and all sorts of other events, with many set to get great media coverage.

Mundesley TTC in Norfolk are putting on free lessons for people with learning difficulties, which will be covered on local radio, while Thwaites TTC have organised free outdoor table tennis for senior citizens and a big game of round-the-table in their local pub.

Our partners at London Sport CSP are hosting an office tournament using Instant Ping Pong packs and the University of Huddersfield – venue for the Cadet & Junior Nationals earlier this year – are transforming their campus into a table tennis venue with tables dotted in various locations.

Swanmead School in Somerset are hosting a table tennis breakfast club followed by a morning of fun coaching and beat-the-teacher. And at the Department of Work and Pensions, staff will be grabbing a bat for a staff tournament.

There is an amazing variety of ideas and events – and Table Tennis England are also all set for our own big day on the seafront in Brighton. It will feature ping pong world champion Andrew Baggaley, fellow London Olympian Kelly Sibley and Harry Fairchild – the world’s first qualified coach with Down’s Syndrome.

Last year’s event reached more than four million people – and with your help, we aim to beat that this year!
