David McBeath’s run in the Belarus Open was ended at the last 32 stage by world No 80 Daniel Gorak of Poland.
The English No4, having won his group yesterday, advanced through the last 64 with a 4-1 (6-11, 11-9, 11-6, 11-1, 11-5) victory over Russia’s Nikita Artemenko.
But seventh seed Gorak was too strong in Minsk as he pulled out a 4-1 victory (13-11, 11-4, 5-11, 11-8, 11-7).
