Hereford County Table Tennis Association has recently agreed the use of Point 4’s indoor futsal arena in Hereford as a table tennis tournament venue.

The venue has retractable seating for 280 people, excellent non-slip flooring and good lighting.

HCTTA Tournament Organiser Simon Morgan said:

At the moment we have eight tables which gives us room for court sizes of 11.5m by 6.9m which really helps to reduce the amount of lets and also is great for orthodox defenders.

We are hoping to expand the number of tables should we get sufficient support in our events. We could easily fit 16 tables in the hall even with the extra sized courts.

We currently have tournaments planned for October 22nd, November 25th and 26th and December 30th and several in the spring of 2018.

We are currently trying a progressive groups format that is more inclusive and gives all competitors more matches during the day, effectively top go forward and bottom two go forward into new groups culminating in several band knockouts to finish. All competitors will play between eight and 10 matches assuming a full entry.
