Norwich won two of the four trophies on offer at the English Leagues Cup Competitions finals, hosted by Draycott & Long Eaton TTC.

Their victories included winning the JM Rose Bowl for the third successive year, but they missed out in a third trophy of the weekend when Central London A and Derby also took home silverware.

Norwich (pictured above with ELCC Organiser Mike Smith) made it a hat-trick of victories in the JM Rose Bowl for senior women, with Lauren Charles also completing a personal treble having been part of the team which won in 2022 and 2023.

Charles gave Norwich a winning start in the final against Plymouth, overcoming Yuki Gresswell 3-0 (11-3, 11-6, 11-7), but Alyssa Nguyen defeated Eva Eccles in four to make it 1-1.

The doubles went the way of Norwich 3-1 (7-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-5) and Charles won her second singles match and completed overall victory as she beat Nguyen 3-0 (11-3, 11-5, 11-7).

Derby beat Leamington 3-1 to claim third spot, with Central London fifth, Nottingham sixth, Leicester seventh and Isle of Wight eighth.

In the Wilmott Cup for senior men, Central London A won, but only after they saw off a comeback by Norwich B, who recovered from 2-0 down to force a decider.

Tianyi Yu put Central London ahead with a 3-0 (11-5, 11-6, 11-7) win over Chris Cockburn, and it was 2-0 after Ching Jay Law overcame Shun Hei Chang 3-0 (8, 8, 7).

The Norwich comeback began in the doubles, as they triumphed in three (2, 8, 7), and Cockburn then levelled it up with a 3-1 (13-11, 12-10, 7-11, 11-6) victory over Law.

Yu versus Chang would decide the destination of the title, and it went to Yu with a 3-0 (8, 8, 6) win.

Central London B defeated Wembley & Harrow 3-0 to take third place.

The other finishing positions were: 5 Plymouth, 6 Leamington, 7 Nottingham, 8 Hull
