Safeguarding guidelines
Guidelines, policies and procedures to keep children and adults at risk safe in the sport they enjoy.
Safeguarding is the ‘umbrella’ that protects all of table tennis with all its policies, guidelines and procedures which support our whole sport to be a safer place, whilst child protection is the management of reported issues and concerns.
Working with young people is key for the expansion of table tennis and, with our many programmes, Table Tennis England try to give the opportunities for young people to participate and help them on their way to achieving their sporting and social ambitions. Additionally Table Tennis England is very proud of its ethos of inclusivity throughout our sport and recognises the key part that adults at risk have to play. It is very important that support is given to the volunteers, staff, players and parents through all of our policies, guidance and procedures to make table tennis a safer sport.
