Ralph Pattison’s terrific run at the European Youth Championships has catapulted him to the verge of the top 10 in Europe.
The Harlow teenager reached the quarter-finals of the Cadet Boys’ Singles in Poland, beating the third seed on the way and only getting so close to securing a medal before going out in a seventh game to the fifth seed.
His exploits have lifted him to 11th in the latest Under-15 European rankings, a rise of 16 places on the previous month.
His team-mate Isaac Kingham, who reached the last 64, is also on the rise, up 26 positions to No 57.
England’s top Cadet girl is Sienna Jetha, who drops 10 positions to No 32.
In the Junior ranks, Connor Green enters the top 30, moving up four positions to No 29 having reached the round of 32, where he lost to the second seed.
