Liam Pitchford will have Chinese opposition when he enters the fray at the WTT Contender Amman on Thursday.

Pitchford, who is seeded sixth, will play Yan Sheng on Table 2 at 8.45am UK time. His opponent is ranked 208 in the world and came through three qualifying rounds to take his place in the last 32.

Meanwhile, Pitchford & Tin-Tin Ho wil start their mixed doubles campaign earlier in the day. They face Hungarian pair Nandor Ecseki & Dora Madarasz at 7am UK time on Table 4.
