Do you know an individual who has gone above and beyond, making a significant contribution to help others enjoy and achieve in table tennis?

If so, you now have extra time to nominate them for a Pride of Table Tennis Award!

We have extended the deadline by a week, until 11.59pm on Monday, January 29.

We have already had dozens of nominations for amazing volunteers, but we want to give a bit longer for you to put forward individuals who deserve recognition for their contributions.

One of the categories is for the Contribution to Table Tennis Award. This award recognises the outstanding contribution to table tennis an individual gives through their time and talents which enables others to participate and succeed – it is open to any age but must be for a recognition of at least 10 years’ service, but no more than 30, in a club, league, county or area.

Perhaps you know a someone like Jan Johns, who picked up the award in 2022? Jan was nominated for her inspirational leadership and driving force of the Crewe Central Table Tennis Club for very many years. As a volunteer, she dedicates hours and hours every week to improving the lives of all in her local table tennis community. She tackles everything she does with efficiency, dedication and selflessness.

Jan has personally led coaching sessions for all members of the club, particularly juniors, and was the driving force behind the vision for the club’s new facility, the Bob Hope Academy, which now provides outreach to the local community and further table tennis opportunities.

Jan has inspired generations of youngsters with the enthusiasm and love of table tennis, so that table tennis plays a huge part in enriching people in the local community.

We’re also looking for nominations in the categories for Volunteer of the Year (male and female); Young Volunteer of the Year (male and female); and Contribution to Table Tennis.
