It is not unknown for high-profile athletes to complement their personal brands with an eye-catching monogram.

Roger Federer’s stylised ‘RF’ springs readily to mind, as do designs featuring the initials of the likes of golf superstar Tiger Woods and boxing legend Manny Pacquiao.

To that star-studded list can be added our very own Pablo Ramirez Rioja!

Pablo, who at the weekend won a superb silver medal in the Under-13 Boys’ Singles at the WTT Youth Contender in Berlin – adding to the one he won earlier in the season in Bulgaria – has been sporting a new logo on his shirts at tournaments, made from the initials PRR.

Ahead of this weekend’s Mark Bates Ltd U10-U13 National Championships, where he is top seed in the Under-13 Boys’ Singles, we spoke to Pablo and his father Cesar about how the monogram came about and whether they think it might one day be as well known as the other famous sporting brands – watch the video below.
