Coaches have a further chance to input into our coaching strategy review at two more online sessions.

Head of Performance Development Gavin Evans will lead the sessions, which are now open for registration.

They take place as follows:

  • Session 1 – 2pm to 3pm on Tuesday 8 October
  • Session 2 – 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday 9 October

A link to the session will be sent to you after we receive your registration.

The sessions are a chance to communicate the way forward identified in the review and seek further input from licensed coaches before the strategy goes to the Table Tennis England Board in November.

Jonathan Roberts, an independent consultant who is leading on the coaching system development, will also join the sessions.

Gavin Evans said: “We’d like to go back to as many coaches as possible to share the findings and philosophies of our consultations and developments – and to give them the opportunity to feed in and have their say.

“We want to talk to the coaches again and capture as many views as we can before the strategy goes to the Board.”

Revolutionising the structure of table tennis coaching in England will help us deliver on a key pledge of Table Tennis United.

The strategy will focus on continual development of coaches, based on recognising excellence wherever they work, rather than on the current qualification-based system.
