What have Ryan and Anna got in common apart from both being enthusiastic young players from the Isle of Wight? They’ve never played together or in the same team.

The answer is that they have both won nine tournaments trophies in one season – Ryan as a 17-year-old in this past year, matching Anna’s feat as a 15-year-old in 2014.

It’s really good to see the Island’s young players doing well and it’s encouraging to see that there are more young players as well, coming through our coaching system and now playing in the Winter League.

IoW Table Tennis Association chairman, Alex Rorke writes: “Our Association is delighted with Ryan’s achievement this past year. Matching Anna’s nine trophies from 10 years ago is fantastic and is something to which all our young players can aspire. This is a great encouragement and incentive for us all.”
