The Isle of Wight Primary Schools Tournament was held on 27 November, with six schools participating at the Island’s Table Tennis Centre.

Last year’s runners up, Newchurch Primary (pictured above), went one better this year. The children were delighted to win the event, which was organised by Rob Smith and Elaine Mills and well supported by many of their parents.

IoW Table Tennis Association Chairman, Alex Rorke, said: “We always welcome young players who want to learn and develop their game and we are pleased to organise this tournament for the children, as unfortunately, table tennis is not always readily available in our schools.

“So we thank the teachers and parents for their support and we look forward to seeing these children again here at our table tennis centre, to participate in our junior coaching sessions, where they will be very welcome.”
