Find out more about how we promote table tennis in schools.
Table Tennis is becoming increasingly popular in schools across England. As the National Governing Body for the sport, a key area of our work is to support schools to introduce table tennis and enable students to participate.
There are 6 main steps to success in Schools Table Tennis Development:
Table Tennis England provide a schools packages offer which offers discounts on indoor and outdoor tables. These packages contain all that is needed to run table tennis sessions and a competition, including bats, balls, medals, certificates and posters.
We also offer Instant Ping Packs, which contain a roll-net which can be used on ordinary school tables. It also contains bats and balls.
If you are looking to source a qualified coach to come to one of your sessions then you can visit our coach-finder by clicking here.
We offer a range of courses for both students and staff. From gaining a better knowledge of umpiring to getting to grips with coaching. Click here for more information.
Schools’ County Secretaries organise two county competitions – one for teams and one for individual players. These then filter into national competitions and, ultimately, international competitions for which England representative teams are selected.

Creating a school-club link can create the opportunity for extra sessions and extra coaching both as part of the curriculum and outside school hours. To find clubs local to your school, click here.
Sign up to our schools newsletter to receive correspondence regarding tickets, schemes and any funding opportunities that we have in the future. You will also be notified about schemes such as National Table Tennis Day.

In London and Essex we work in partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation to offer the opportunity for schools, colleges, academies and youth clubs to apply for heavily discounted tables and attend competitions which feed into the National Schools Competition Pathway.
