A Level 1 umpiring course is being held in East Lancashire in the coming weeks, places can now be booked online.

The course is the entry level umpiring qualification and comprises two parts – an online learning module and online exam, followed by a practical session.

It is the first part of a journey which could lead you to officiate at major international events, such as the Commonwealth Games!

The practical sessions are as follows:

• Sunday 3rd December 2023 – Hyndburn TT Centre, Accrington, Lancs BB5 4EP (CD 21/11/23)

The practical sessions all take place from 10am to 4pm and will be run by an International Umpire and will cover all major issues which an umpire is likely to face. These include on-court behaviour, serving and doubles.

Premier Clubs are entitled to book a free place on each course – the cost otherwise is £30 per person.
