Cardiff, January 11th, 2025 – The Bristol Table Tennis Academy was triumphant at the Welsh Table Tennis Team Tournament held in Cardiff, where its teams showcased exceptional skills and determination. The event saw a thrilling display of talent, culminating in Bristol Academy’s standout victory in Division 1.

The dynamic duo of Charlie Callus and Josh Branch dominated the competition, with the team remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. Their exceptional control and spin allowed them to outmanoeuvre and outplay their opponents, leading the team to claim the coveted title. This remarkable achievement highlights the Academy’s commitment to fostering talent and competitive spirit at all levels.

In a truly impressive performance, the Academy’s younger athletes, Ffion and Nye Evans, demonstrated their remarkable potential by securing second place in the same top division. Their skills, especially in applying good control and spin, showcased the bright future of the sport at the Academy.

 John Thorn the lead coach for the day said “Charlie and Josh’s undefeated run speaks volumes about their hard work and dedication. Furthermore, Ffion and Nye’s remarkable performance at such a young age is a testament to the training and support they receive at Bristol Academy”
