Table Tennis England Chair Nick Donald has formally stepped down, with an announcement on his successor to be made shortly.
Nick is leaving to take up the position of Chair of Paddle UK and his tenure at Table Tennis England ended yesterday.
The recruitment process for the new Chair is in the final stages and an announcement will be made shortly.
Don Parker, the Deputy Chair, will step up during the interim period until the new Chair is in post.
Nick said: “I want to thank all within the Table Tennis England membership and the wider table tennis community for your passion and commitment to the sport and for making me feel welcome. I have met some wonderful people and I have valued every conversation I have had with our community.
“I feel that the Board has made considerable progress in enhancing our decision-making process, within an improved governance structure, as we continue to implement the Table Tennis United strategy. With our CEO, Sally Lockyer, having been in post now for three months, and seeing the impact she has made, I have every confidence that Sally and my successor will ensure the organisation takes advantage of the opportunities to become more relevant, visible and better engaged across our community.
“I have had a wonderful time during my tenure and wish table tennis in this country every success for the future.”
Everyone at Table Tennis England would like to express sincere thanks to Nick for his significant contribution to our sport and wish him every success in the future.
