GB athletes move into medal contention at Worlds
Commonwealth champion Joshua Stacey is assured of at least a bronze medal after reaching the semi-finals of the men’s class 9 singles at the World Para Table Tennis Championships. Rob Davies, Tom Matthews, Martin Perry and Will Bayley are all through to the quarter-finals of their respective events.
McKibbin wins all-British final to take gold
An all-British final in men’s class 8 was the highlight of the singles in the Greek Para Open in Argostoli, with Aaron McKibbin beating Billy Shilton and Commonwealth champions Jack Hunter-Spivey (men’s class 5) and Joshua Stacey (men’s class 9) together with Fliss Pickard (women’s class 6-7) all taking gold in their respective events.
