If you are ready to take the next step on your coaching journey, there is still time to get on board for our Level 3 Head Coach qualification.
The L3 course takes table tennis coaches to the next level of expertise and focuses on each candidate’s individual coaching needs.
The course is designed to support the area(s) a coach coaches within, such as Performance, Participation, Development and Club and will develop and master an array of cognitive and transferable skills alongside a complex blend of knowledge and theories.
Awarded by Table Tennis England, the Level 3 Head Coach qualification involves a mixture of in-person delivery days, home study and coaching practice, typically spread over a period of around nine months.
Through the course you will be collaborating with a variety of coaches from all over the UK, you’ll be taught by specialist University lecturers and Level 4 Elite Coaches and on successful completion of the course, you will become part of the small community of Level 3 coaches that currently exist.
The course will be delivered in a variety of locations, from university campuses to top-class table tennis training facilities.
The closing date for applications is 21 October, 2022.
In person attendance dates:
First weekend – 19-20 November, 2022
Second weekend – 19-20 August, 2023
Some of those thinking of applying can also apply for a Charlie Childs Coaching Grant to help meet the cost.
The grant is available to applicants who are Table Tennis England members and who are in one or more of the following groups:
- Aged 16-30
- Identifies as female
- Living with a disability or coaches individuals with a disability within table tennis
- An individual from either an ethnically diverse community or lower social-economic group
There are also some funding opportunities through UK Coaching.
