Two dozen of the best young players in England have been invited to the Junior National Cup – the first national event back on the calendar since the start of the pandemic.

The event will be hosted by Halton TTC on the weekend of 19-20 June, under covid protocols, and sees the top Junior boys and girls play in two round-robin phases to decide the champions.

The top 10 boys and girls in the Junior rankings from July 2020 have been invited to compete, along with two wildcards in each category.

The July 2020 list has been used in order to include Under-19s, reflecting the change in the Junior category from Under-18 to Under-19 in line with new international categories. It also reflects that the rankings have been frozen during the pandemic.

The players invited are:

Boys: 1 Ethan Walsh, 2 Louis Price, 3 Joe Cope, 4 Rhys Davies, 5 Amirul Hussain, 6 Josh Weatherby, 7 Olly Cornish, 8 Thomas Rayner, 9 Ben Piggott, 10 Robert Pelc. Wildcards: Max Stevens, Connor Green.
