Table Tennis Wales (TTW) is looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Coach to spearhead the development of the pathway and performance athletes, guiding them toward success at the senior international level. This is a unique opportunity to significantly influence the future of table tennis in both Wales and Great Britain, fostering a culture that supports athletes, coaches, and support staff in reaching their full potential.

As the Head of Performance Pathway, you’ll work closely with the Head of Participation to ensure table tennis is an inclusive, accessible, and exciting sport for all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in developing and implementing the TTW Performance and Pathway Strategy, collaborating closely with the Head of Participation to establish clear goals and objectives for athletes, coaches, support staff, and clubs.
  • Oversee the smooth transition of pathway players into senior international competitions,
    supporting their growth and progression.
  • Set and maintain high standards for both athletes and coaches at all levels, ensuring
    consistent performance and development.
  • Direct the TTW Performance Programme, collaborating closely with stakeholders such
    as Sport Wales, the TTW Board, GB Table Tennis (GBTT), GB Para Table Tennis (GB
    Para TT), and others.
  • Drive systemic change to cultivate an inclusive, thriving high-performance culture
    across Wales and Great Britain.
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to coaches and support staff, promoting continuous
    development throughout the network.
