The Europe Top 16 will be shown live and free on TTE.TV this weekend – your chance to watch top-class international table tennis, featuring England’s Liam Pitchford.
We have teamed up with the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) to make the live action available to TTE.TV subscribers.
The event sees a total of 32 top European players – 16 men and 16 women – compete to lift the title over a weekend of knockout matches in Montreux, Switzerland.
Table Tennis England Head of Engagement, Keely Armitt, said: “We’re delighted to have secured coverage of this prestigious event on TTE.TV, delivering superb live action to our subscribers, free of charge.
“Our mission is to make TTE.TV the go-to channel for table tennis in this country, and working with our partners to provide access to events like this is part of that mission.
“The fact that Liam Pitchford is also involved makes this news even more exciting for the English table tennis community.”
The China Construction Bank Europe Top 16 Cup starts at 8.30am on Saturday, UK time. There are two tables in action, both of which will be streamed on TTE.TV as matches in the round of 16 and quarter-finals of both men’s and women’s competitions are played.
On Sunday, the play moves to one table, featuring the semi-finals and finals.
The draw for the event is at 6pm UK time on Friday, at which point Pitchford’s opponent in the last 16 will be known.
Pitchford is sixth seed for the event and is aiming to improve on his best performance of reaching the quarter-finals, which he has done on two occasions.
