The Safeguarding Team has finalised the new Table Tennis England annual training plan and it is now available to view on this website.
In 2025 we will be providing two update briefings for Welfare Officers in each of the seven Table Tennis England Areas, along with the relevant Area Manager and Sport England Welfare Officers.
The sessions will provide an update on current safeguarding practices or processes, reminders on how to report and our safeguarding processes to keep people of all ages safe in our sport.
There will be the opportunity for Sport England Welfare Officers to update on their processes and their events.
Welfare Officers will also have the opportunity to ask questions of any staff and officers present about good practice and anything related to safeguarding. We will share news on support and training from Sport England in your area and any events planned too.
Welfare Officers from all areas are asked to fill in the online response form to book their spots at one of the sessions in their area.
Our first session is for Welfare Officers in the South East on 16 January, 2025, at 7pm. All the dates can be found on the annual training plan and on the booking form.
Clubs and Coaches
The High-Speed Training e-learning course is still available via the Table Tennis England website. The Safeguarding Team can also provide virtual courses for clubs/leagues which are bespoke for that club/league but there must be a minimum of eight members attending – contact the team direct to arrange.
In addition, we provide regular training for Table Tennis England staff, Performance staff, performance players and parents, and our new table tennis chaperones.
