David Wetherill has been withdrawn from the Tokyo Paralympics following an unspecified breach of the British Para Table Tennis code of conduct.
Wetherill had been due to compete in his fourth Paralympics, in the Class singles and Class 6-7 team alongside Will Bayley and Paul Karabardak, who will continue in that competition as a pair.
A ParalympicsGB statement reads:
Following a legal proceeding David Wetherill has been de-selected from the ParalympicsGB team for Tokyo 2020 for breaching the British Para Table Tennis code of conduct.
In accordance with the terms of the arbitration process no further information will be provided.
