With six teams in the Premier Division set to battle it out for glory, let’s meet the teams and some of the athletes set to take part at the Aldersley Sports Village in Wolverhampton.

Drumchapel Glasgow Ladies 1
The reigning champions will be looking to improve their record this year, having only dropped one match in the whole campaign last season. They are without Yat Poon though, who finished second in last season’s averages for the season. Three of the star players from last year return to fight for back-to-back titles. These are Jersey international Hannah Silcock, Bethany O’Connell, and Alicja Czarnomska. Joining this season, is Senior Women’s number 4 Ella Pashley who is no stranger to the Premier Division having played for Ormesby last year.

Ormesby TTC 1
Last season’s runners-up have enlisted a few new faces in their side for this year. With Ella Pashley now at Drumchapel, they have brought in two Welsh internationals in Lowri Hurd, and Lara Whitton, who currently sits just outside the top 10 in the senior women’s ratings list. They are joined by homegrown player Rebecca Savage who finished last season with a 50% average.

Dun Laoire Ladies 1
The player with the highest average in the Premier Division last season, Mia O’rahilly Egan will lead Dublin side, Dun Laoire Ladies 1 yet again. Mia lost only once in an outstanding season that saw her top the individual averages table. The team that finished 4th last year is completed by returning players Sabina Devereux and Anjali Singh As well as naming Number 1 ranked English Veteran, Sara Williams, in their team list for the 24/25 season.

Fusion 1
Fusion 1 won the 2022-2023 Women’s British League, and will be looking to take back the title this year, with the help of U21 National Champion Tianer Yu and current Tsz Yan Nancy Yeh, ranked number 7 on the rating list. Maria Engelson and Elena Todirca will be back with Fusion this year after playing in every match for Fusion last season, each winning 55% of their games, and attaining 4 player of the match titles between them.  

Draycott 1
Draycott 1 arrive in the Premier Division this season as Division 1 Champions from the 2023-24 season and have assembled a young all-star line up ahead of the this year. In addition to last year’s regulars, Naomi Coker, Millie Rogove and Mabel Shute, they have added Anna Green, the Junior National Champion who has plenty of international experience at youth level, as well as former Women’s Singles National Championships runner up, Mari Baldwin. With a plethora of talent available, Draycott will be a team to keep an eye on.  

Byng Hall TTC
Finishing runners up in the 1st division last season, has earnt Byng Hall a place in the Premier Division. They have retained their roster again, hoping to make waves in the top flight. Letitia McMullan won 85% of her matches last season, while Jurate Brazaityte won four player of the match awards. Naomi Jackson returns, as does Annabelle Baker, but the squad have added Sarah Baker as well to give them their final piece of the puzzle.  

With the first weekend of action taking place on November 2nd and 3rd, the league will be decided on the 18th and 19th of January 2025, this season is not one to miss!
