England-based Yat Poon picked up a good win, 12-10 in the fifth, to reach the main draw at the WTT Feeder Halmstad in Sweden.

Poon (pictured above) defeated Alma Roose of the host nation, saving four game points in the pivotal third game on her way to winning 11-9, 6-11, 14-12, 8-11, 12-10 on her second match point.

She was defeated in the round of 64 by Japan’s Kotona Okada, despite having game points in both the second and third games.

In the doubles competitions, Poon & Vivien Scholz of Luxembourg won their first match to reach the quarter-finals, where they were defeated. Poon & Lithuania’s Ignas Sisanovas went out in the first round of the Mixed.
