Double Paralympic medallist Bly Twomey has been shortlisted for the prestigious Sunday Times Young Sportswoman of the Year award – and the votes of the table tennis community can help her win.

It follows a sensational Paris Paralympics performance this summer in which 14-year-old Bly won bronze medals in both the Women’s Class 7 singles and Women’s Class 14 doubles, the latter alongside Fliss Pickard.

The award is presented annually to a sportswomen aged 21 or under and Bly (pictured above, photo by Michael Loveder) is one of six on the shortlist.

She is up against Olympic bronze medallists Sky Brown (skateboarding) and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix (diving), multiple cycling junior world champion Cat Ferguson, Olympic 800m athlete Phoebe Gill and junior US Open tennis champion Mika Stojsavljevic.

The winner will be decided by a combination of votes by an expert judging panel and members of the public.
